Leadership Spotlight: Ashley Mobley

What is your name?

Ashley Mobley

What is your role at ARC Physical Therapy+?

Lead Physical Therapist, Overland Park

Where are you from?

I grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas.

Where did you go to school?

I did my undergraduate studies at Baker University in Baldwin City, KS. Then attended PT school at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

What has been your journey to leadership?

In 2022, I started working part-time for ARC while pursuing a passion for golf performance and rehab and starting my family. After returning from maternity leave, I knew ARC was where I wanted to be, and I accepted a full-time leadership position at our Midtown Clinic. In December 2024, I transitioned to the Overland Park clinic, where I currently serve as the Lead PT.

What skills helped you move into a leadership role?

Listening to others, willingness to ask questions, setting clear goals, and prioritizing patient satisfaction.

How do you help your team live up to our mission of redefining excellence in healthcare?

The OP team is full of EXCELLENT clinicians. I try to support them as best as I can to keep their priority on helping patients without stressing about other factors. I also want to create a culture of collaboration so we can grow together towards better patient outcomes.

What is your leadership philosophy?

My leadership philosophy centers on accountability and empathy, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a healthy work-life balance. I believe in putting others first by supporting their needs, encouraging their growth, and leading by example. I prioritize open communication and create an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. I’m committed to caring for my team’s well-being, both professionally and personally, because I know that a balanced, supported team is more engaged, creative, and successful. Ultimately, I want to foster a culture of trust, respect, and mutual support where people can thrive in both their careers and personal lives.

What is the one thing you wish everyone knew about ARC Physical Therapy+?

ARC is a company founded and led by people who genuinely care for others. While we are a business, our top priority is always to put people first, ensuring we support and care for them in everything we do.

How do you encourage or motivate your team?

I tend to focus heavily on words of affirmation and positive reinforcement to encourage and motivate others. However, I’m also working to incorporate more celebration of milestones, goal achievements, and valuable experiences to further recognize and appreciate the team’s hard work and success.

What do you do to help your team have fun?

I help my team have fun by fostering a sense of connection through food and drinks (which we all love!), which always bring people together. I also remind them that, even during stressful moments, it’s important not to take things too seriously and to find opportunities to enjoy the process along the way.
