What is your name?

Megan Remmert, DPT, Cert MDT

What is your role at ARC Physical Therapy+?

Lead Physical Therapist

How long have you worked at ARC Physical Therapy+?

I have worked for ARC Physical Therapy+ for 6.5 years.

Which clinics have you worked at?

I started in Olathe but moved to South Kansas City two years ago.

What are some of your favorite memories?

My favorite memories come from events we do after work, whether that is our company parties, give back day, or clinic fun day. I always enjoy seeing my co-workers in a less formal environment and getting to know them better.

What do you say to someone who is starting out in PT?

Don’t be afraid to ask the questions. Everyone is learning the best way to treat the patients and get them to 100%, even if they have been working for years.

What makes ARCPT+ different from other clinics you’ve worked at?

There is a sense of pride and camaraderie with the work and the staff. I have helped out a number of clinics and it is always a welcoming atmosphere with the staff and the patients.

Have you been involved in any educational, fellowship or mentoring programs at ARCPT+?

I have been fortunate to become certified in McKenzie method. With that I have stayed involved in the McKenzie focus group through ARC Physical Therapy+, which allows us to continue working on our skills and brainstorm ideas for the best treatment for our patients.

What do you enjoy about working with work comp patients?

I enjoy coming up with ideas to simulate the jobs. Most of our patients aren’t lifting a box with proper mechanics on a daily basis because of the positions they are it. I enjoy trying to find ways to make them safer with the various lifts while in the positions that they would actually be in for work.
