Patrick Hansen, PT, lead therapist, is married with 8 children and is also CrossFit Trainer.

Belinda Grist, Admin Assistant, is from New Jersey. Her husband is active duty Army at Fort Riley and they have 3 kids.

Shaelyn Floyd, OT, is originally from the Manhattan area, is married, and is a former K-State Women’s basketball player.

Fun fact about the Manhattan, KS Clinic

We are a mix of sports fans. Minnesota Viking’s fan, Eagles fan, Chiefs’ fan, K-state alum and fan. We like to talk shop about our sports teams. We enjoy taking jabs and dishing it back to our patients!

Favorite part about being in Manhattan, KS

There are lots of food choices in Manhattan — and the K-state band will show up at restaurants sometimes! Manhattan is also a clean city, with a lot of young energy.

Favorite tradition in Manhattan, KS

There is a Little Apple ball drop on New Year’s Eve. All the fun, with a small-town atmosphere.

The best restaurants in Manhattan, KS – in our opinion – are Hi-Lo, Little Nico’s, Taco Luce, PowerCat Grill, Ana’s.

If we say Starbuck’s, is that cheating?  Radina’s has some very good coffee in Manhattan, KS as well.

If you want to get outdoors in Manhattan, KS, visit the Bill Snyder Family Stadium or Anneberg Park, which is great for walking, biking, playing soccer, and fishing.

Catching a show at the McCain Performance Center, part of the K-State campus, is a blast! Getting tickets to any of the K-State sports teams – including football, basketball and baseball – provides fun year-round.

What is Manhattan, KS known for that people may be surprised to learn?

The original settlers of Manhattan, KS were from Manhattan, New York.  Hence the nickname, “Little Apple”. 

Does anyone in the clinic have any special certifications or provide any specialized care beyond functional outpatient physical or occupational therapy?

Patrick is MDT certified and has a background in fitness with his CrossFit Trainer Certification. 

Shaelyn is currently in the Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) program and will be CHT certified in the next couple years.

Why should potential patients choose ARC PT+ Manhattan, KS?

One-on-one care is what we strive for.  We keep rehab lighthearted, but on task. There is a lot of positive energy in the Manhattan, KS clinic, and we don’t take ourselves too seriously. (Example: very bad dad jokes can sneak out at times! Stop in and hear one!)
