Maryville is the home of the world’s shortest St. Patrick’s Day parade. In 2023, it was 78’ long. It gets shorter every year.

Best place to get coffee in Maryville, MO

The Maryville Clinic has hosted two coffee Klatches that served kopi luwak, the most expensive coffee in the world. Kopi luwak is also known as civet coffee. It’s made from coffee beans retrieved from the dung of the civet cat. A stuffed civet cat attended one of the gatherings.

The best place to find a sweet treat in Maryville is probably at the Farmer’s Market during the warmer months. Talented people gather to sell homemade treats along with other traditional farmer’s market fare.

Maryville is a rural area. There are multiple places to get outdoors. Mozingo Lake is probably the most notable. There is a 1,000+ acre lake known for fishing and boating, and 18- and 9-hole golf courses. NWMSU operates an outdoor education and activities area at the lake, with shooting sports, climbing courses, kayaks, and an observatory.

There’s always something going on at NWMSU for the community to enjoy.  Music, sports, plays, and speakers are all accessible by the community.

Maryville is in the Northwest corner of Missouri. It’s a short drive to Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska. Maryville has earned multiple national championships in Division II football and basketball, as well as state championships in high school football. Maryville is also known as “Title Town” to some of the locals.

Frank is a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). Karla is trained to do Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs) and work conditioning.
