I went to Fort Hays State University out in western Kansas for my undergrad, earning a BS in Athletic Training in 2015. I then moved to KC and received my DPT from the university of Kansas Medical Center in 2019.
Who or what inspired you to get into the physical therapy space?
Personal PT experience with my own injury in high school.
What do you like most about your work in the physical therapy space?
I like being able to guide people to a stronger, more active lifestyle. I thrive during high level leg rehabilitation where I get to utilize box jumps, agility ladders, and challenging balance activity. However, I enjoy working with motivated people of all ages/ability and it is so rewarding to help someone reduce their pain and get back to what they love.
What is one thing you wish everyone knew about the body or physical therapy?
It’s dangerous to be weak.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Skiing, hiking, basketball, biking, rock climbing. I dabble in a little of everything!
Favorite Sports Team?
The Chiefs!
Beach or mountains?
Definitely the mountains, unless I’m at the beach.
