Kansas and Iowa: You Are Eligible for Direct Access to PT

The profession of physical therapy is constantly evolving and its scope of practice continues to grow to offer the best standard of care for its patients. Physical therapists are doing research every day to discover better treatment methods available. Rehabilitation can cover a wide variety of conditions from fall prevention, sports injuries, pre- and post-surgical patients, neck and back pain, shoulder pain, ankle sprains, headaches…. and the list goes on!

Direct Access: No Need for a Referral

Direct access laws can aid in your recovery by allowing a patient to quickly gain access to a physical therapist who can guide you down the road of recovery. There is no need for a doctor’s examination or referral… you can call the clinic and start getting treatment on day one!

At ARC Physical Therapy+, a majority of our physical therapists have received either a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Master’s of Physical Therapy (MSPT) degree. These educational requirements ensure clinicians are capable of thoroughly evaluating, examining, and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries.

Direct Access in Kansas and Iowa

Patients in Kansas and Iowa have direct access to physical therapy services. This allows them to get back to their desired level of health, functionality, and fitness in a much faster period of time. Having direct access to physical therapy can remove the wait time of having to go to a doctor or physician and wait for their referral.

Physician Partners

We have wonderful relationships with numerous physicians in and around our community.  If you choose to receive physical therapy via direct access, we will communicate appropriately with your physician at your discretion.  If you are new to the area or you do not have a physician and need one, we will be happy to help facilitate a referral to a doctor!
