South KC Clinic Celebrates 15th Anniversary

South KC 1It’s time to celebrate: our South Kansas City Clinic just turned 15! At our South KC clinic, we like to have fun and create a work environment that is inviting for everyone.

We offer many different services for our customers. Some of these include STRIVE Work Conditioning, Certified Hand Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and so much more.

For 15 years our South KC employees have put you and your physical therapy needs first, and created treatment plans that are specific for you.

Our Favorite Memories

Scott Jones, Director of Clinical Support and one of our Partners, reflects on the past 15 years.

“Celebrating the 15th anniversary of the South Kansas City clinic is very personal for me. I spent 10 years in this clinic as a physical therapist and Clinic Director. Over those years, we watched our little clinic grow into a pillar in the community for workers’ compensation needs. Although I now serve as the Director of Clinical Support Services I am excited to see the transformation and growth this clinic will have In the next 15 years and to watch the next generation of leaders develop.

I really enjoyed working with the Grandview and South Kansas City communities and treated some really incredible people over those 10 years. I was blessed to work alongside so many talented coworkers. A big thank you to the Grandview Chamber of Commerce and all of our community partners who supported us over the years including: Peterson Manufacturing, City of Kansas City, Missouri, Honeywell, and Hickman Mills School District, just to name a few. Happy Birthday ARC SKC!”

-Scott Jones, Director of Clinical Support and Partner

Here are some other of our team’s favorite memories throughout the years.

Christy McClain, Regional Director:

A few years ago, a bird somehow got into the clinic, likely through the suite next door by way of the rafters. We had a full clinic of patients and staff all watching this bird try to find it’s way back outside! One staff member, who shall not be named, took cover in a treatment room as they were just sure the bird would poop on their head! Despite our best attempts to get the bird out the front door, it remained inside, panicked for the exit. I was the Clinic Director at the time and had the brilliant idea to turn off all the clinic lights to hopefully encourage the bird to fly toward the open door. Instead, when the lights went off, the bird flew straight into the large window on the side wall, dying instantly. It was shocking for everyone inside and resulted in a failed CPR attempt followed by a small bird funeral just outside the clinic.South KC 3

Hannah Page, Occupational Therapist:

Nerf gun wars! We have so much fun battling and you never know when there may be a surprise attack.

This is by far the best place I have been. All PT are friendly and kind, They make you feel welcome every time you come in. I would recommend this place for anyone.

The staff Sam and Megan are always thoughtful and compassionate. They take the stress out of having to do therapy. They are also effective in treatments offered in a very relaxed atmosphere.

-Candace F.

What a relief! My shoulder and bicep issues are nearly 100% resolved. Excellent therapists who really listen, and design therapy accordingly. Thank you, Mindi and Gaby!

-Carol C.

This was my second time with ARC Physical and they have helped in both my recoveries. I’ve been working with Lindsay and Kaitlyn this time around and they have been great in helping me recover from my injury. As a whole the ARC staff is amazing and especial when I needed to reschedule my appointment.

-Allen C.

My experience with ARC so far has been amazing. I was nervous when i first started but Lindsay and Kaitlyn have been so good. They make sure I’m understanding the stretching and using the proper technique so I get the most out of it. I have recommended ARC to several people and will continue to do so. Thank you to all the wonderful PT’s and their patience.
