Maryville, Missouri Clinic Celebrates 1st Anniversary!

Let’s have a round of applause for our Maryville, Missouri clinic as they celebrate their 1st anniversary! As the most specialized outpatient rehab center in the Northwest Missouri and Southwest Iowa regions, the clinic’s first year has been very successful.

With a combined 50+ years of experience, the husband-and-wife Occupational Therapy duo of Frank and Susan Grispino has served Northwest Missouri since the mid-1990s. In late 2020, Jill Henry, a Maryville native, joined the clinic to round out our comprehensive service offerings.

“The expansion and commitment our team made to the Maryville clinic speaks to the importance of growing in a way that serves our patients,” Rich Kidwell, ARC Physical Therapy+ Regional Director/Partner said. “This past year was not easy, but the Maryville team remained focused on helping our patients return to full function while providing a safe space.”

Meet the Clinic Director: Frank Grispino

Frank and Sue Grispino

Frank Grispino, ARC Physical Therapy+ Maryville Clinic Director and Certified Hand Therapist, is a Maryville native. As a Certified Hand Therapist, Frank treats everything from simple overuse arm pain to potentially debilitating traumatic arm and hand injuries, including complex orthotic fabrication.

Frank began his career at ARC Physical Therapy+ in 2020 to open the Maryville Clinic. “I had been at St. Francis Hospital for 23 years prior. I served as a CHT and the Director of Rehab and Sports Medicine. My last 3-4 years, I was also Vice President of Operations/COO,” Frank said. “I came to ARC Physical Therapy+ because I feel that our core values are a match and I’m able to continue serving my local community.”

In 2020, Frank made notable strides in the hand therapy therapy world and was selected to speak at the “Doctors Demystify Tendons and Muscles for OTs and PTs” virtual panel discussion for hand therapists across the US and Canada.

“Frank was selected to serve on the panel because of his national recognition as a leader in hand therapy education. The other panel members were highly experienced and highly respected hand surgeon educators. Participants gave the session high marks for the discussions and lessons learned,” said Dr. Roy Meals, past president of the American Society of Surgery of the Hand and editor of the Journal of Hand Surgery.

Keep up the inspirational work, Frank!
