Staff Spotlight: Jason Parker

What is your name?

Jason Parker

Jason ParkerWhat is your role at ARC Physical Therapy+?

Clinic Director at the Cameron, Missouri clinic

What year did you begin working at ARC Physical Therapy+?

I have been a therapist for over 20 years, but I am a new member to the ARCPT+ family! ARC Physical Therapy+ acquired my clinic in 2020 and I am excited to be part of this organization.

Where are you from?

I grew up in the Garden State of New Jersey, but moved to the Kansas City area in high school. I currently live in Kearney, Missouri.

Where did you go to school?

I graduated from William Jewell College (1997) and then continued on to PT school at the University of Kansas Medical Center (2000).

Who or what inspired you to get into the physical therapy space?

Like many PTs, I had a positive personal experience in physical therapy while in high school. In college I was mentored by several great therapists who helped me realize that my passions and skills lined up well with physical therapy.

What do you like most about your work at ARC Physical Therapy+?

I love that I get to play a part in restoring hope and function to my patient’s lives.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about the body or physical therapy?

That our bodies are amazing creations and, if cared for, will heal themselves. Physical therapy can provide the care required.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I love spending time in the mountains, traveling with my family, and listening to live music.

How do you like to celebrate a win or a good day?

By sharing the “spoils” with the people I love.

Go out or stay in?

Either work for me, but it’s more about who I’m with than where I am.
