What is your name?
Megan Remmert
What is your role at ARC Physical Therapy+?
Physical Therapist in our Olathe clinic
What year did you begin working at ARC Physical Therapy+?
2017
Where are you from?
I’m originally from Jefferson City, Missouri, but have called Kansas City home since 2009.
Where did you go to school?
Rockhurst University where I received my Bachelor’s in Psychology and my Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Who or what inspired you to get into the physical therapy space?
I have always had an interest in helping people. As I was thinking about a future job and college degree, I had a few injuries resulting in my own PT treatment. While I was having treatment I realized PT was something I could see myself doing in the future. PT combined my love of helping people, meeting people, and not sitting at a desk for the entire work day.
What do you like most about your work at ARC Physical Therapy+?
I enjoy my patients and getting them back to work and all their other regular activities. I enjoy my co-workers and getting to collaborate with other skilled clinicians, whether that is for patient care or continuing education courses.
What is one thing you wish everyone knew about the body or physical therapy?
Physical therapy can do a lot to relieve people’s aches and pains, but can occasionally take longer than people like. It may not be an immediate fix but it can be lasting if you stick with it.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I can typically be found at Sporting Kansas City games during the season, spending time with my family and friends either relaxing or exploring the city, or going to concerts.
How do you like to celebrate a win or a good day?
Being surrounded by my family and friends. It doesn’t matter what we are doing as long as we are together.
What is your favorite quote or saying?
I don’t need an inspirational quote. I need coffee.
Favorite Sports Team?
Sporting Kansas City
Sweet or salty?
It depends. Recently been more on a sweet kick!
Coffee or tea?
Coffee: all day, every day!
Beach or mountains?
Mountains, either hiking or skiing.
Go out or stay in?
I like both, just depends on the day.
