Undergrad at Bethel College (Kansas) and DPT at University of Kansas Medical Center
Who or what inspired you to get into the physical therapy space?
I chose PT because I always enjoyed studying the human body in school and I was really drawn to helping people return to the activities that they enjoy or that give them a better quality of life.
What do you like most about your work at ARC Physical Therapy+?
I love meeting new people, learning new things from my patients, and watching them get excited about their successes.
What is one thing you wish everyone knew about the body or physical therapy?
I wish people knew that physical therapy can encompass a wide variety of patient care including pediatrics, vestibular/concussion, pelvic floor, wound care/burn care, and cancer rehab just to name a few.
Are you involved with any outside organizations? If so, what?
I am a member of the
APTA: American Physical Therapy Association and KPTA: Kansas Physical Therapy Association.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time outside (running, hiking), reading, watching sports, and doodling.
How do you like to celebrate a win or a good day?
A good day usually means I don’t have any notes I have to finish at home, so I’ll celebrate by going for a run.
What is your favorite quote or saying?
I have two. Both from Lin-Manuel Miranda:
