Occupational Therapist at North Kansas City
What year did you begin working at ARC Physical Therapy+?
2019
Where are you from?
St. Louis, but I tell people I’m a Kansas City girl now! 🙂
Where did you go to school?
Mizzou for undergrad and graduate school
Who or what inspired you to get into the physical therapy space?
I first learned about occupational therapy when I was in 7th grade and my little brother was seeing an OT. That’s what initially sparked my interest in OT, but after my 3 month rotation with ARCPT+, I knew I wanted to go on to become a CHT.
What do you like most about your work at ARC Physical Therapy+?
My favorite part about my job is coming up with creative ways to get my patients back to what they want or need to do!
What do you like to do in your free time?
My favorite hobby is crafting – making decorations for my home, sewing, painting, you name it! I’m also starting to get into gardening…I want my backyard to be a relaxing oasis of flowers and hummingbirds!
Coffee or tea?
Coffee! Well, espresso. Hazelnut lattes are my favorite!
Beach or mountains?
That’s tough…but I think I have to go with beach. My favorite moments have happened on beaches – family vacations, my husband proposing, my wedding, and my honeymoon!
Go out or stay in?
Stay in! To me there’s nothing better than a cozy night in with yummy food, a good movie, and crafting or building legos! My husband and I like to build lego towns in the fall/winter!
