What is your name?
Cristi Niblo
What is your role at ARC Physical Therapy+?
South Kansas City/Belton Clinic Administrator
What year did you begin working at ARC Physical Therapy+?
2011
Where are you from?
Belton, MO
Who or what inspired you to get into the physical therapy space?
My dad, he had a life changing injury when I was 12 years old. I watched him go through multiple surgeries and the rehab process that followed each one. From that time on, I wanted to be a part of a team that helped support people emotionally and physically bounce back from what is sometimes one of the darkest times in their lives.
What do you like most about your work at ARC Physical Therapy+?
The group of individuals that I work with every day. They support, encourage, and challenge me to be the best I can be. I also enjoy the patient interaction and getting to know them as a person, not just a patient.
What is one thing you wish everyone knew about the body or physical therapy?
I wish people knew that surgery is not always the answer. Although therapy can take a longer period of time than most are willing to allow for, it can often prevent invasive procedures and/or surgeries.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Spend time with my family. We love to attend sporting events (both professional and for our kids), go to concerts, go on vacations, eat at good restaurants and spend time on our boat. We also love to play with and watch all our animals on our farm.
How do you like to celebrate a win or a good day?
By doing something we love with my family and friends!
Favorite Sports Team?
Sporting KC, Royals, Chiefs, Mizzou and Iowa State
Sweet or salty?
Both!
Coffee or tea?
Depends on the day.
Beach or mountains?
I love them both! Beach in the spring/summer, mountains in the fall/winter – we love to go skiing, snowmobiling and white water rafting.
Go out or stay in?
I’m content either way.
