Where are you from?

Born and raised in Lawrence, KS but have lived in Overland Park since 2013.

Who or what inspired you to get into the physical therapy space?

I practiced as a clinical-level social worker for a handful of years at a pediatric hospital before deciding to transition my career path and enter the world of marketing.  After a few years working as a small-business marketing consultant and then in traditional marketing and advertising at a small marketing firm, I decided to follow my passion and move back into the health space.  I met the leadership team at ARCPT+, learned about their passion for providing excellent service and outcomes driven care and knew instantly that this was the company I wanted to be a part of.

What do you like most about your work at ARC Physical Therapy+?

As Marketing Director, I get the opportunity to cross paths with everyone at our organization. I get to spend time in every clinic, whether in the KC Metro, Des Moines or any of our other outlying clinics.  We have an INCREDIBLE team of therapists and support staff here. I get to learn about each person, what their unique strengths and passions are, and then brag about them out in our communities.

What is one thing you wish everyone knew about the body or physical therapy?

Physical Therapy can often prevent invasive or major procedures or surgeries. But we live in a world where many people want quick fixes for their issues.  Sometimes physical therapy can be a quick fix, but often it takes time to retrain your body and rehabilitate back to healthy movement. I wish more people knew that by taking a little more time and engaging in physical therapy, you can often set your body up for long-term health without major surgeries or procedures.

Are you involved with any outside organizations? If so, what?

I am currently a member of Centurions, a Kansas-City Based Leadership Group. I also spend time volunteering with various organizations, such as Back to the Basics which provides hygiene products to those in need, or answering the crisis hotline with local domestic violence shelters.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Cycling, paddle boarding, rock climbing or anything active and adventurous! I also enjoy cozying up with a good book or trying new restaurants in Kansas City.

How do you like to celebrate a win or a good day?

With the people I care about! It doesn’t matter where we are, as long as I get to be surrounded by friends and family.

What is your favorite quote or saying?

Surround yourself with people who make you want to be a better person.

Favorite Sports Team?

Sporting Kansas City

Coffee – also an addiction of mine.

Mountains – hiking or skiing!

Go out or stay in?
