Meet Occupational Therapist: Sami Fuller

How long have you been an Occupational Therapist?

3 years

What clinics do you treat out of?

Lee’s Summit and Blue Springs, Missouri

What got you interested in being an Occupational Therapy in the first place?

I already knew I wanted to help people and being an OT allowed me to do that while also being challenged intellectually.

Why do you love being an Occupational Therapist?

I feel like I basically get paid to make new friends and then make them better. What better job is there than that?!

What is a fun fact about you?

When I was little I was R2D2 for Halloween one year and fell walking up to a house and got stuck since my costume was basically a decorated round trash can. My parents still cry laughing when they tell the story.

What makes you unique as an Occupational Therapist?

I’m big into manual treatment techniques, especially gliding cupping. I’m also full of puns and love to keep everyone in the clinic laughing and having a good time while they get better.

What is something you wish people knew about Occupational Therapy or hand therapy?

We treat more than just hands!!!!!!!
