What got you interested in being an Occupational Therapist in the first place?

I used to work in cardiac rehab prior to becoming a therapist and saw what Occupational Therapist’s did and it interested me.

Why do you love being an Occupational Therapist?

I enjoy being an Occupational Therapist because to I am able to help others and make a different in their overall abilities.

What makes you unique as an Occupational Therapist?

One thing I do that is unique is complete onsite services here in Topeka. I complete job analyses, ergonomic assessments, create post offer employment tests, and provide early intervention services as needed.

What is something you wish people knew about Occupational Therapy or hand therapy?

Hand therapy does not only include the “hand.” A hand therapist treats shoulders, elbows, wrists, and hands.
