ARC Physical Therapy+ is temporarily closing its clinic doors on June 13th to give back to the community. The entire company will be volunteering their time with Phoenix Family, a local nonprofit organization in Kansas City that provides people living in low-income housing communities with the onsite support they need to gain stability and achieve self-sufficiency.
This is nothing new for ARC Physical Therapy+. Throughout the year, the company participates in a variety of philanthropic opportunities and events. On Fridays, the staff are allowed to “dress down” and wear jeans if they donate to a preselected nonprofit organization or cause. The staff also participates in various races and community events throughout the year to help raise awareness and funding for certain initiatives. Additionally, the company provides its staff and referral sources with Charity Gift Cards throughout the year that can be donated to various causes.
“Our people have pushed ARC Physical Therapy+ to lead with our actions, not just our words, and truly commit to improving the lives of others,” said Matt Condon, ARC Physical Therapy+ Founder and CEO. “Our Give Back Day is an opportunity for us to fulfill our mission to be a catalyst of change in our region. By shutting down our clinics and transporting all of our staff to Kansas City from various locations throughout Kansas and Missouri to spend the day with children from one of Kansas City’s most vulnerable communities, we are showing our true commitment to our mission.”
This year, ARC Physical Therapy+ will provide lunch, arts and crafts as well as a variety of field games and pool activities for a Phoenix Family community. The food has been provided to ARC Physical Therapy+ free of cost by Cosentino’s Food Stores.
“I’m so excited for these kids and so proud of our team for all of the hard work they put into this day,” said Condon.
