That’s because only ARC offers a continuum of care for your company’s most valuable resources -- your employees.

ARC’s successful programs will save you money, while increasing productivity and employee retention, including:

  • Pre-hire, post offer functional employment testing

The bottom line is, good health isn’t just about rehabilitating injuries -- it’s about optimizing function. Hire the Best

Can they safely do the job?

Smart companies use ARC for employment testing to determine whether or not a candidate is able do the job. As a result, they’re saving millions each year in work comp claims, increasing productivity and employee retention by:

First: Define the job

ARC’s team will work with you to define the essential functions and physical demands of the job. We’ll develop a legally-defensible job analysis document completed by a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist. If needed, we’ll help you re-engineer a job to reduce the risk of re-injury.

Second: Pre hire, Post Offer Testing

We will work with you to design a post offer functional employment test for each job to determine if the candidate is physically capable of performing the job day in and day out. In the process, ARC will determine a baseline of function for each employee and identify pre-existing conditions including a thorough musculoskeletal examination – which could save your company millions should the employee be injured later. Plus, we’re as careful about collecting the right information for employers as we are about protecting patients’ GINA (Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act), ADAAA and other privacy rights.

Effective Return to Work

ARC is recognized by employers who direct care, physicians and cases managers alike as the region’s foremost specialists in workers’ compensation care.

Work Comp Specialists

As the “go-to” work comp group in the region, ARC often takes on the toughest cases including patients who have not progressed through other therapy companies. We understand the need to see patients quickly -- often the very next day. We also recognize the unique challenges in motivating workers' comp patients. In fact, each patient is seen one-on-one and by the therapist each visit. As a result, we are much more attuned to progress being made, and can provide far more valuable feedback to all parties.

We’re your eyes and ears with patients throughout their rehabilitation and return to work. It’s more than treating the symptoms, ARC’s onsite team of ergonomic, occupational and physical therapy specialists look for the cause of injuries and identify potential risks for your workforce --from high to low physical demand positions. Our team of specialists will work with you to correct imbalances and teach the proper biomechanics of lifting, preventive stretching, strengthening and moving safely.

Close Working Relationships

Our clinicians have strong relationships not only with patients, but also with case managers, insurance adjustors, physicians, office staff and employers. We understand how important proactive, relevant and timely communications can be to successful outcomes. That’s why we not only listen closely, but document findings, observations, conversation, changes in condition and especially symptom magnification issues. We can do that because our therapists treat the same patients each visit to assure continuity of care. While we pride ourselves on thorough documentation and never bypass a group in the communications’ channel, we also know when to pick up the phone and talk one-on-one with an employer, case manager or physician.

Commitment to Innovation

Clients choose ARC because of our dedication to innovation -- innovative protocols, innovative outcome reporting, innovative management and adoption of some of the industry’s most innovative, leading edge technologies including:

Wellness as a Business Strategy

Businesses are looking to wellness programs as powerful business strategies that have the potential to impact healthcare costs including group health, workers’ compensation, workforce turnover, productivity, absenteeism, worker satisfaction, recruitment and retention of talented workers. While studies demonstrate that companies conservatively receive in savings 3-6 dollars for every dollar spent on wellness, adopting preventive measures to improve the health of our workforce can mean savings up 10 times that amount in indirect costs. That’s why we developed a turnkey, customizable virtual wellness program, www.RedefineWellness.com.

More than just a library of helpful health articles, RedefineWellness helps your employees get up and moving -- with exercises shown to increase participation and results.

RedefineWellness is the only web-based employer wellness program that assesses not only specific employee risk information such as blood glucose level, high cholesterol, diabetes and smoking, but also factors in workers' comp claims, prior injuries and physical job demands in order to deliver tailored weekly fitness and workout plans along with risk-specific wellness tips and articles for each employee. It’s the only program that shows employees how to exercise correctly and allows employees to earn points by checking off completed exercises and challenging co-workers to friendly competitions. Points can be redeemed for various wellness incentives to help keep motivation and participation levels high. Finally, it’s the only program that measures and provides feedback on the success of the program to employers -- reports employers can use to demonstrate program results and to negotiate for lower group health and workers' comp insurance premiums.

Because RedefineWellness.com is web-based, employers of all sizes with offices across the country or all over the world can realize meaningful, measurable and successful wellness programs

Outcomes You Can Measure

While other companies talk about discounts, we talk about outcomes. That's because our clients want to know the real cost of treatment, not the discount they may receive on artificially inflated rates. Our clients want to know if we provide a better return on their investment than other therapy companies. To help you and your executive team make well-informed decisions, ARC provides objective, customized patient and group outcome reports specific to diagnoses that factor in co-morbidities such as smoking, diabetes and obesity.

The best way to demonstrate the value of ARC is to compare our outcomes for treatment of injuries to Official Disability Guidelines (ODG) standards. ODGs track evidence-based medical treatment, disability duration and outcome benchmarks for injured workers.

We've been tracking outcomes for years, including statistic on how many visits each employee need to return to work safely -- and why. You'll see that ARC's outcomes almost always beat ODG standards for number of visits and duration of care. Moreover, we're beginning to track data beyond ODGs -- patients' functional status at discharge and repeat injuries. It's outcome data to give you a better understanding of the overall health of your workforce and timely insight into potential problems before they arise.
